Description

Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) pipes are a type of thermoplastic pipe used in potable cold and hot water plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and chemical-prone industrial applications. These pipes are made by chlorinating PVC through a free radical chlorination reaction, usually initiated by ultraviolet light. This reaction improves their thermal, fire, and corrosion resistance, making them ideal for multi-purpose plumbing applications. CPVC pipes and fittings are lightweight and easy to install. They can be assembled using solvent cement and mechanical fittings, adding versatility to all types of plumbing installations.

Production process

1. Material preparation: The main raw material of CPVC pipe is Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride

2. Mixing and preheating: Mix all the raw materials evenly according to the formula ratio and premix them at an appropriate temperature to ensure the uniformity and stability of the raw materials. Then pass the mixed raw materials through the preheating system to reach the temperature range suitable for extrusion.

3. Extrusion molding: Use a single-screw extruder or a twin-screw extruder to extrude the preheated raw materials through the die head mold. The temperature control of the extruder is the key, and the temperature of each section needs to be precisely controlled to ensure that the PVC material can pass through the die smoothly and form the required pipe shape.

4. Cooling and shaping: The extruded pipe is quickly cooled by the cooling device to maintain its shape and dimensional stability. The cooled pipe is further shaped using a shaping device to ensure the uniformity of diameter and wall thickness.

5. Traction and cutting: The shaped pipe is pulled to the specified position by a tractor, and then the pipe is cut into standard length using a cutting machine. It can also be cut into customized lengths according to customer requirements.

6. Printing and inspection: Print general information such as brand logo, specifications, and implementation standards on the pipe. After printing is completed, the finished product is inspected for quality, including appearance, size, mechanical properties, flame retardancy and other indicators to ensure that the product quality meets the standards and customer needs.
